You've heard of the UK club Cream? The US Burning Man? How 'bout NZ's The Gathering, Kiwiburn or Wonderland? We draw our inspiration from all these places. (And have worked on several of them.) The people behind BLISS have been putting on parties since the early 90's. Our values Nice people. Nice parties. The party people are the most important element of the party. We strive for the friendliest, most positive, most up-for-it crowds at our events. We value them and try to look after them. We support local artists. There are very few international artists who are up to the calibre of the locals. We will put on internationals when appropriate, but it's all about New Zealand talent for us. We stand for the highest quality production in New Zealand. Everything: the lighting, the sound, the door staff, the atmosphere, the location will be the best we can make it. We only play good music. We love all genres of dance music. Whether it's trance, house, techno, ambient, psy trance, progressive house, hard dance, breaks, dub, drum n bass, industrial or whatever. If it's good, we'll play it. Note that our smaller events can't accommodate every style in one night. We pay everyone involved a fair price. Putting on events is hard work, from the door staff to the tech crew to the cleaners and even the performers. Hard work should be paid fairly. To do that that means we have to charge the party people a fair price too. Every party sells out before the night. We have roots in the underground. We follow in the footsteps of the early UK rave scene. In summertime, we play outdoors. In wintertime, we play in warehouses. Sometimes we'll play in a club. We aim to make every space a unique and lifechanging experience. We pioneer new venues regularly. We won't do parties every month. Maybe not every quarter. But when we do parties, they will be unmissable. |
